The Ukrainian delegation`s study visit " Prospects how to develop 112", organized by the European Commission within the TAIEX program in cooperation with the Estonian Emergency Response Center is currently underway.
The purpose of the event is to familiarize Ukraine with Estonia`s experience in developing the 112 Service, in particuar in terms of legislative regulation (including EU directives), modern IT solution, interagency cooperation and organizational aspects. This will enable Ukraine to be better prepared to meet the standarts set by the European Union.
The visit was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, experts from the Ukrainian 112 Service and specialists from the SE INFOTECH.
The SE INFOTECH presented to its European colleagues the current state of development of the Ukrainian 112 Service, its key capabilities and challenges in wartime. The presentation was made by the director of the enterprise, Maksym Khimchenko, who emphasized the digitization of processes, integration with the state registries and prospects for further harmonization of the system with European standarts.
"The Ukrainian 112 Service meets modern European standarts: it`s intergrated with key emergency services, works with the latest IT solutions and has proven its effectiveness even in wartime. It`s important for us not only to adopt the practices of our European colleagues, but also to share our own experience in building a system that functions in conditions of constant threats and emergencies", emphasized Maksym Khimchenko.
This experience is particularly important for the SE INFOTECH, as it`s the developer of the Force and Resource Management System (FRMS) for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and is responsible for data exchange within the 112 Service. Therefore, it is important for us to experience in organizing the work of emergency services and IT support for their activities in European Union countries.
During the visit, areas for further cooperation with Estonian colleagues are also discussed, particulary in the field of developing IT solutions to improve the efficiency of emergency services and introducing best European practices in Ukraine.
The participation of SE INFOTECH in the study visit is an important step in strenghening international partnership and developing national services in line with European quality and safety standarts.
