Over half a million digital gun permits in action

The digitalization of the weapons trade in Ukraine has entered a new phase. Gun owners no longer need to worry about paper certificates – the official document is always at hard, on their smartphone. 

Since March 2025, thanks to the successful integration of the Unified Weapons Register (UWR) with the Diia app, Ukrainians have been able to use digital permits. The results speak for themselves: as of today, citizens have already added more than 550, 000 digital documents to Diia. 

In June 2023, the Single Window service for citizens was launched.  

Since then:  

-almost 190,000 extracts on the availability of permits have been generated  

-over 12,000 applications for permits have been submitted 

-almost 2,500 insurance contacts for weapons owners have been drawn up. 

As the developer and administrator of the Unified Weapons Register, SE INFOTECH ensured coplex technical integration and uninterrupted data exchange betweeen systems. Currently, the Register contains information on more than 683,000 weapons owners, guaranteeing the accuracy and security of information. 

We continue to work to make government services invisible, but reliable assistants in the lives of every citizen. The introduction of digital weapons permits and the development of services based on the Unified Register of Weapons is another step towards a transparent and secure digital environment in Ukraine.
