KYIV, November 21 2025 – on the eve of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Holodomor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine hosted an important international round table discussion entitled "Unpunished Crimes of the 20th century". Archival documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the Holodomor and Mass Artificial Faminies in Ukraine". The central event of the rountable was the presentation of the updated and expanded functionality of the Electronic Map of the Holodomor, developed by specialists from the SE INFOTECH.
The event, which brought together goverment officials, academics and international archivists, took on particular relevance against the backdrop of full-scale war. State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk emphasized that providing online access to documents about the crimes of the communist regime isn`t just a matter of historical memory, but a direct countermeasure to modern Russian propaganda, which has inherited the methods of totalitarian terror.
Scope of work: Archival accuracy and analytical depth
SE INFOTECH team presented results of a large-scale project demonstrating how modern GovTech solutions can transform thousands of pages of archival documents into a powerful, accessible and multifunctional research resource. This is not just digitalization – it`s the creation of a comprehensive analytical system.
Unique analytical functionality:
-Heatmap for researchers: INFOTECH specialists have integrated a unique visualize the centers of the largest and smallest recorded cases of cannibalism resulting from the crimes of the communist totalitarian regime. This layer allows you to study the spatical logic of repression, which is invaluable for historical and legal research.
-Extended chronology of crimes: The map covers all key periods pf mass artificial famine: 1921-1923 and 1946-1947, providing a comprehensive picture of the crimes.
-Multilingualism: An English version of the map has been created, which is a strategic step towards spreading the truth about the genocide among an international audience and the scientific community.
Structured documentary database:
Each event on the map is converted into a detailed, structured card. It contains not only geographical data, but also key documentary attributes: case numbers, verdicts, crime composition, information about victims and a list of accused persons, ensuring the highest level of transparency and reability.
SE INFOTECH continues to work on further expanding the source base and introducing new analytical tools, confirming its role as a reliable stste technology partner that applies advanced solutions to protect the national digital heritage.
